Baby, It’s Cold Outside

ChillyMy neighbor’s dogs are outside ALOT.  I know this because I often hear them barking at 2 a.m. My first thought is always, “why are they outside now?”  I can’t help but feel bad for them.

I had a casual conversation with my neighbor this past summer about one of their dogs that escapes from their yard and then causes a disruption in mine.  At that time, I learned that their dogs have an “all access” pass in and out of a garage door entrance to their yard.  Now during cold weather,  it explains why I frequently hear them all hours of the night barking outdoors.

I honestly don’t know what the solution to this dilemma is and it makes me very sad.   All I know, is that the Ruff Girls are safely tucked into a warm bed lined with a fleece blanket.  I can only hope that pet owners will use their common sense this winter and provide safe and warm shelter for their pets.

Thank you to walksnwags.com for letting Ruff Talk share this graphic as a reminder to bring pets inside during the winter months.
